Is cloth diapering gross?

The short answer is no. Cloth diapers are not gross at all. Once you have your system in place at home everything works so smoothly. Set up a dry pail with liner in the bathroom next to the toilet so that the toilet is handy when you need to toss the solid waste. Most of the time the solid waste will just fall off the diaper into the toilet. Occasionally, you will have to spray down a diaper if the solid waste is not so solid. But to be truthful, with my son we only do this a few times a month at most. When I say a few times that means maybe 5 times total per month at most. At the time I’m writing this I am sure it has been at least two weeks since the last time we sprayed down a diaper. Now when he was a newborn the solid waste was not so solid but at that time he was being breast fed. When breastfeeding your baby, you do not need to rinse or despose of the solid waste as it will just dissolve in the wash. Not until your baby starts eating solid foods do you need to toss the solid waste and like I mentioned above, 99% of the time it just falls out into the toilet. No touching it or anything.

So it’s that simple. Nothing to scare you away from using cloth diapers. In the end it is your baby and you will do anything for them. There are so many positive reasons to use cloth diapers from environment to no rashes and quicker potty training. Give Chi-Baba Cloth Diapers a try, we know you will love them as much as we do!
